Passport checks at Copenhagen since January 2016...

The Swedish government has imposed border controls when entering Sweden because of the refugee problem.   Passport control is now carried in Copenhagen out before boarding the direct X2000 trains to Stockholm and you are asked to arrive 30 minutes before departure.  The trains to Stockholm leave from platform 26 which has been set aside for these trains, accessed via platforms 5 & 6, a short walk beyond the regular platforms so don't turn up with only seconds to spare.

Passport control for the Öresund local trains (Copenhagen-Malmo-Gothenburg) is now done at Kastrup.

There is no passport control when travelling in the other direction from Sweden to Copenhagen.

Copenhagen to Stockholm in 5h15 from 254 SEK (€28, £20, $30)...

Stockholm to Gothenburg 3h01.  Malmö to Stockholm 4h28.  Stockholm to Oslo 4h54.

City centre to city centre with free WiFi and power sockets at all seats.  Introduced in 1990, X2000 is Sweden's 200km/h (125mph) tilting high-speed train, operating on the Copenhagen-Malmo-Stockholm, Gothenburg-Stockholm & Stockholm-Oslo routes amongst others.  X2000s are fast, smooth and quiet, but you won't notice the train tilting unless you look carefully at the angle of the train compared to the scenery!   They were known as X2000 when they entered service, this was changed to SJ2000 but now reverted to X2000.  They appear on the German booking system (bahn.de) as X2.
